The VA Marion offers Urgent Care Services to veterans in the local catchment area, and does not treat trauma. Complex cases are transferred to the Fort Wayne Campus, or to the local Medical Center. This facility also treats chronic psychiatric patients and has a long term care unit for veterans.

Additional Fun Facts

The area now known as Logansport was originally inhabited by Native Americans. It was named after James Renich Logan, a Shawnee soldier who served the U.S. forces as a scout in the War of 1812. The area was first settled by Europeans in 1826, and the Wabash and Erie Canal reached the city in 1837. The historic Michigan Road that runs through the town significantly improved communication and led to population growth as well. Logansport was incorporated in 1938.
